Ingredients
-
1 bag Organic pizza flour mix
-
1 jar Pomodoro sauce
-
Grated Parmesan
-
1 jar Black truffle cream
-
Pizza Spice Mix
-
Pine nuts
-
Fresh basil
-
Rosemary (optional)
-
Organic extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Knead the dough according to these instructions.
Divide the dough into 3 equal-sized portions and place each in a separate bowl covered with a damp cloth. Let this sit for 1 hour.
Roll out one portion of dough thinly on a floured surface into a rectangle resembling a pizza crust.
Spread the desired filling over the dough - use pomodoro for some, and black truffle cream for others. Pour some grated parmesan over all of them.
Roll the dough tightly along the long side, similar to a roulade.
Using a sharp knife, cut thin slices, about 1 cm thick, without pressing too hard. Now you have your snails!
Place the small snails on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Allow the snails to bake for until they have risen and formed a nice golden brown shape. Remove from the oven.
Drizzle olive oil over the hot snails and sprinkle with pizza spice mix and/or nuts for topping. We recommend the pizza spice mix for the snails with pomodoro sauce, and pine nuts for those with black truffle cream.
Allow the snails to cool before enjoying them as a snack or starter for a dinner party. Buon appetito!
