How To Make Our Pizza Flour

Made by Mama pizza flour is one of the easiest ways to create delicious, homemade Italian pizzas. This is a perfect activity for a date, a weekend with the kids, or a friends night in.

Here's how!

1. Mix the pizza flour and yeast package in a bowl.

2. Add 1 ¼ cup lukewarm water (add only 1 cup if you are using the KAMUT Khorasan flour). Knead for 5-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and uniform.

3. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour in a mildly warm place, covered with a damp dishtowel or plastic wrap.

4. Split the dough into 4-5 buns and keep them covered until you are ready to roll them out. 

5. Heat the oven to the highest temperature possible. If you have a baking stone, this is the time to place it in the oven. If you are grilling or baking your pizzas in a pizza oven, pre-heat those as well.

6. Take one bun at a time and roll out into a pizza - approximately 8-10 inches in diameter.

7. Distribute your sauces & toppings (only those that will not burn in the hot oven - you can add additional toppings later)

8. Place the pizzas in the oven and bake for 4-6 minutes. Pay attention to how they cook as every oven bakes differently. You may need to adjust how you bake the pizzas based on how your oven works - test and learn!

9. Remove the pizzas from the oven, drizzle some additional olive oil and a generous sprinkle of Pizza spices over the top to achieve that classic Italian pizza flavor. Buon appetito!
