White Sangria With Rosé Vinegar

Summer means warm days and fun with friends and family, and this white sangria is the perfect drink to accompany. Serve it for a barbecue, summer party or other festive occasions and lift the mood with this delicious summer refreshment.
Sangria is a Spanish tradition that often incorporates red wine. Here, we have replaced the red wine with a lighter Italian white wine and mixed it with delicious fruits and crushed ice cubes. Here we have used peaches, melon, pineapple and raspberries, but you can use any fruits you like. A shot of gin combined with a few drops of our Rosé Balsamic takes this cocktail to the next level. Finally, I top it up with sparkling wine or my favorite pink Fever-Tree Tonic Water.
Ingredients
-
1 bottle white wine, preferably Italian
-
¼ - ½ cup sugar, depending on your preference for sweetness
-
3 peaches, sliced into small cubes
-
1 handful cherries, sliced & pits removed
-
1-2 handfuls rasperries
-
1-2 handfuls sliced pineapple
-
1-2 handfuls blueberries
-
1 lime, sliced
-
1 bunch mint leaves or lemon verbena
-
1 cup gin
-
6-8 drops Rosé Balsamic Vinegar
-
Ice cubes
-
1 bottle sparkling wine or tonic water (to top off)
-
Elderflower or linden flower blossoms to garnish with a little Nordic touch (optional)
Directions
Pour white wine and sugar into a large bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add in all the fruits and herbs to the wine and sugar mixture.
Let the sangria soak for at least a couple of hours, in a cool place. Stir gently occasionally.
Just before serving, add a lot of ice cubes and a dash of the sparkling wine or tonic.
Finally, the summer sangria can be topped with a drizzle of Rosé Balsamic.
Recipe Note
Serve this sangria in a clear glass bowl. It looks so beautiful and acts as a piece of decor on your table!
