As the colder months approach, we are delighting in home cooking, hosting cozy nights in, and of course, endless grazing boards, filled to the brim with our favorite Italian antipasti.
OUR FAVORITE TIPS & TRICKS
VARIETY IS KEY
Aim for a balanced mix of flavors and textures.
We love to ensure our board contains at least one of the following:
- Cheese - If you want to include several cheeses in your board, also opt for variety: one soft, one hard (Parmigiano Reggiano), and one funky option for everyone to try!
- Fruit/vegetable (like a marinated artichoke, red pepper, etc)
- Cracker
- A spread or jam
- Nuts, seeds, or olives
- Meats are optional
BOARD ARRANGEMENT
Start with the larger items, like cheeses and bowls of nuts, olives, etc. Distribute them evenly across the board.
If your jars of preserves and spreads are beautiful like Made by Mama jars, you can also place them right on the board.
Then, begin to fill in the gaps with your other items, putting a generous amount of everything so the board looks as if it's overflowing. Abundance is key when it comes to a cozy winter grazing board!
Once everything is arranged with variety and abundance in mind, put some knives and spoons wherever necessary. Serve to your guests and replenish as you go!
PERFECT PAIRINGS
We design our collection such that each product complements the others. Here are some ideas for our favorite pairings to recommend your guests:
- Bites of Parmigiano with a generous drizzle of balsamic vinegar
- Gorgeous artichokes marinated in olive oil, topped with bit of Parmigiano.
- Linguette with a smear of truffle paste and a piece of Parmigiano.
- Any cheese with a dollop of fig jam and a Linguette or piece of fresh bread.
- Sun dried tomato on bread or Linguette, drizzled in balsamic vinegar.
