Savory Spiced Greek Yogurt Dip
Rated 5.0 stars by 1 users
This dish is inspired by the classic Middle Eastern labneh with zaatar, but this time with our subtle Italian flair!
It is a wonderful recipe to whip together in a couple minutes before your guests arrive. Never allow guests to arrive without a little something to munch on! It's also a wonderful healthy snack for the kids to enjoy when they arrive home from school.
This spiced yogurt pairs beautifully with our Linguette crackers.
Ingredients
-
Greek yogurt 10% or labneh
-
Italian Sea Salt
-
Organic extra virgin olive oil
-
1 jar Mixed olives in spiced oil
-
2-3 tablespoons sesame seeds, preferably toasted until lightly golden on a dry pan
-
Pasta Spice Mix
-
Optional: Linguette
-
Optional: Olive wood bowl
Directions
Carefully grind/blend the entire contents of your Pasta Spice Mix to a more fine texture.
Add sesame seeds in and stir. This will make quite a lot of spice mix, so you can use this on an ongoing basis for various other dishes!
Place however much yogurt you would like based on how many people you will be serving in an attractive bowl. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.
Use a tablespoon to form a small indentation.
Pour olive oil into the indentation. Top with a few olives and drizzle a little bit of oil from the jar as well.
Sprinkle your spice mix over the top.
Place a bowl of extra olives on the table, along with toasted bread, crackers and vegetables to dip with – whatever you like!
